I only have a few pet peeves...
1. People who don't take the time to learn other people names or how to pronounce them correctly. You know what I mean, your name is Jennifer and people call you Jenny even though you introduced yourself as Jennifer. WTH?
2. Badly parked cars. Why can't you park your little VW straight so I can park next to you and get me and the mini tahoes out? IF I can park my Big Ol SUV between the lines you should be able to!
and the reason I am blogging this today..
3. People who copy other people! OHHHHH! This is on the top of my list today! I know that there are no original ideas left but seriously do you have to be SOOOO obvious about it?
Ok, you want the story to go with above?
When I started my wholesale division last year Titan Boy and I sat out in the driveway trying to come up with a name for one of the lines. Anyway, we thought we had come up with the perfect thing but it turns out if was trademarked to someone else. Oops! So we changed everything after the person who owns the trademark pointed it out to us. No big deal right? Well, I run into her today at this show and tell her again how sorry I was and that we had changed everything, etc. etc. While we are talking I do a quick peek around her booth and low and behold...there are some of MY PRODUCTS! She totally stole my idea! She cannot even begin to say it's hers as she contacted me last summer about the name of this product! I am soo mad I could just scream! But the good ol' southern girl in me just smiles while I am thinking "you F***ing B***H!" They say being mimicked with the highest form of flattery but right now I don't care STOP COPYING ME!
I will add more pet peeves as I get over this one....

Travel Days Are Never Good Days...
Ok that is something my mom has always said and while I have traveled quite alot, today definitely has been one of those days!
The day started out pretty good, Titan Boy took me to the airport. Now after 10 years of marriage you can imagine just how the conversation in the car went...
Me: I like that radio station
Titan Boy: Really?
Me: American is at the end
Titan Boy: Have a good trip, call me later, love you (drives off)
OK, that was odd. I guess he doesn't have much to say today.
Plane ride was uneventful but the pilot flew to fast and our gate was taken. Now we sit on the tarmac for 30 minutes in a stuffy plane inhaling fumes. (This is where the migraine starts)
My luggage comes off first! Ok, this is turning around! Woohoo, on to the rental car depot!
Now, I have to admit I showed up without a reservation. But out of 12 rental agencies someone has to have a car right? After waiting in 2 lines equaling another 30 minutes my vehicle is presented to me....keep in mind I am traveling alone and the title of this blog is about my Tahoe. I'm an SUV girl. Love my big monogrammed truck!!! The very cute rental agent starts showing me around my giant WHITE MINIVAN!!!! It looks like a BIG MARSHMALLOW!!!! WTF? A Minivan? I'm not carrying around a whole bunch of mini's or anything? Just me! Can't I have something impractical. "No M'am, we are all out of cars, but this minivan has great features. (He then proceeds to show me all of them.) The seats all lay down in case I need to put a small circus in here, the doors open with the touch of a button, it has hidden stowaway cargo....Seriously? I have sworn my whole life I will never drive a minivan! (I don't have anything against them I just don't want one!) So after the whole explanation and a sales pitch for extra insurance, I drove off in my BIG WHITE MINIVAN. Oh and the GPS Unit Titan Boy loaned me kept trying to give me directions to the hotel from my house that is 5 states away! That is equally helpful at this point.
I did get some setup done at the show before I jumped back in the marshmallow to find a Target and thanks to the now functioning GPS unit I was successful! Now I just get to read my book and watch what ever I want on TV with NO INTERUUPTIONS. Jealous?

Off to Dallas...
The UPS man showed up and took the last of the samples today so I am off to Dallas in the am for a trade show! I am cautiously optimistic as usual. I am soo critical of my own designs that I of course thinks that no one would want to buy them! Keep your fingers crossed that all 7 boxes get there on time!!! UPS and I have not been friends lately so we will see!

I give UP!
Does anyone know what makes a toddler scream? You know the one...someone else went first, played with a toy, looked her way...I swear Lil Pink Tahoe gets up every morning and determines her scream quota for the day. She has never seen a goal she can't conquer! Anyway, when I get home from work today there she is screaming and yelling on the back step because Tahoe Nanny decided to ride her scooter while she played with a ball. Seriously? I get to come home and play referee immediately. Lucky Me! LPT Is soo stubborn that it took 20 minutes to get the whole situation resolved. Some days I completely understand why animals eat there young.
Any ideas to assist in her "issues" would be fabulous!

There are colors in my closet!
The pressure behind my "first" post has kept me staring at this screen for days! Oh, well...I'm jumpin in with both feet! (this is something you will learn is very normal for me only the water is normally feet over my head!)
As many enjoyed the Holiday with boats, lakes and BBQ's I, as usual, went to work. We were closed but tomorrow is a HUGE deadline for the wholesale division so I had tons I needed to do. But my entire day was not spent working, oh no, my visa bill is proof how I spent my afternoon!
After I did some exchanges for the little tahoes I ran into to LOFT for the "number" in the window! You know the one, the madras skirt with the matching tee! Well that was all it took to get me started on the "Hunt for anything plaid!" Needless to say I was successful and now have a closet of the cutest skirts and shorts. Titan Boy mentioned as I was putting it all away,"Wow, that's alot of plaid." I hope he realizes I am not going to wear it all together. That would be something out of the 80's.
I will post pics of the newest additions once I monogram the tees to match! I am such a jeans and t-shirt girl that this is the perfect summer wardrobe for me! Before today my entire closet was black, white, khaki and denim! Oh, but not know! There is color everywhere and I found a great website that sells the fabrics so I can have even more made! This is gonna get expensive! Now, on to find matching flops!
