Crosses For Carson....

Is that not one of the cutest faces you have ever seen? This sweet little boy is my nephew-in-law and his name is Carson. During the month of April (2009), Carson was diagnosed with Idiopathic Infantile Spasms at just 9 months old.

This news has just been devastating to his family and mine. He is the cutest, happiest baby ever and this news is just heartbreaking to say the least! At this point we do not have a lot of answers, mostly questions but we have learned that one thing that will help Carson and his family is a seizure alert dog! They have applied and been approved to get one of these sweet unique puppies but it cost $13,000.00!!!!

Many people have stepped in and done fundraisers, from car washes to raffles and everything in between (some neighbor children had a lemonade stand and raised $75.00 all by themselves!) and as of today we are ONLY $1400 from our goal!!! YEAH TEAM!

One fundraiser we have been doing is Crosses For Carson! These adorable glass bead and wire crosses are beautiful and make a great gift. They also help to remind us of the blessings in our lives everyday!

Please check out their website (Click on the picture) and order crosses today! Only $1400 more and Carson will get this puppy that help his parents sleep at night! (Most of his seizures are at night!)

Also, Carson's mom has started a blog about day to day life with two kids and all the craziness that includes, not too mention when your baby is sick! I cannot imagine. I have three beautiful healthy children and it could have just as easily been me or you or your neighor! Visit her blog SUNSHINEANDSNOOPY.BLOGSPOT.COM

ALSO, I would really appreciate it if you shared this info with anyone and everyone you know! Post it in your blogroll or dedicate a post to it! It really is a worthy cause!

Please Help Carson get His Puppy!
Many thanks and blessings!

True...Very True....

Recently a very close friend told me the best way to handle your problems is to face them head on and be honest and up front about it. That is exactly what I have done...I trusted her and felt the weight being lifted just by those facts alone.

The second part, which is my favorite part, she told me if I did this new opportunities would come my way...and she was right! New doors are opening for me and I am very excited!

So, I guess the moral of my story is....have faith in all aspects of your life but ecspecially yourself!

5-0

Why is that anytime you are around a police man or woman you automatically start thinking about all the stuff you have ever done that could get you in trouble? And you are positive they know each and every detail? Or if they are behind you in traffic you start checking to make sure there is nothing "fishy" in the car that could get you in trouble, even though that has not been a possibility since the early nineties?

Or, if your standing in line at the gas station with three mini's in tow next to the cutest cop since Police Acedemy 1, you are praying they don't do or say anything incriminating...or that the oldest one accuses you of trying to starve him to death because you wont buy him the big bag of cheetos and a mountain dew?

Oh yeah, he watched me load them all into the car and buckle each and every seat belt. I am surprised he didnt double check that they had brushed their teeth this morning!

Thanks Mini #1, I will get you back in the not so distant future when you bring a girl home...I see baby picture wallpaper being ordered RIGHT! NOW!

Toooo Much Info...

As we are getting ready for the first day of school at the Tahoe Household I need to catch you up on our progress...

With POTTY TRAINING!!!

We have had a great week with some serious progress! Only a few accidents and I feel confident that I can send him to school tomorrow in elmo undies and he won't completely embarass me!

BUT....

As with my other two children Mini #3 has had some trouble with the whole "poop" on the potty thing. Today we thought we were about to achieve victory until as he is sitting on the potty crying and obviously holding it in....

His Reason?...

"NO I cannot do that, if I do dragons will come out of my butt!"

We are now in search of a "dragon slayer" so we can achieve FULL potty training success. Any ideas? I am game for anything at this point!

Sending Out An S.O.S....

While the cutest thing on the planet, Sassy Tahoe is an untidy packrat!

While the minis and Titan Boy are gone today I am reorganizing her room. Trust me this is a HUGE JOB!

This is where I need your help...
Sassy Tahoe LOVES ART! All types of art (wonder where she gets the creative streak from?)

Anyway, I am at a loss for organizing all her supplies. There are crayons and markers etc etc etc ALL OVER THE HOUSE! This is beginning to drive me crazy!

Please send me your best organizing ideas for this type of stuff.

My budget isn't big enough to raid the Container Store so I am hoping all my blog friends can help!

I'm desperate and drowning in all this stuff!

HELP!

PS Mini#1's room is next and his downfall is video games so if you have those ideas I will take them!
